Metal Powders for Additive Manufacturing

The company has built an imported electrode induction melting gas atomization (EIGA) titanium alloy powder production line, which was put into operation in 2012 with an annual output of 90 tons of titanium alloy powder. Through independently developed technologies such as contactless electrode induction melting, high-purity inert gas atomization, powder grading, and powder storage, melting is carried out without a crucible. The molten metal stream is blown away by high-speed gas flow, overcoming the bonding force between liquid metal atoms to separate and atomize them, thus achieving the preparation of powders with high stability, high purity, and high sphericity.

Aerospace-grade Titanium Alloy Powder

Aerospace-grade titanium alloy powder materials differ from civil-grade titanium powder mainly in their stringent requirements on physicochemical property parameters such as particle size, particle size distribution, sphericity, fluidity, as well as hollow powder and inclusions. All production links of aerospace-grade powder must undergo strict control to ensure that the powder has excellent performance, good repeatability and superior batch stability.
